On July 14th, our dog Maple passed away from Leukemia at the tender age of 9. I never had a cat or a dog growing up since my mom was afraid so I was completely unprepared for how difficult this was going to be. We grieved, a lot. Our other dog had no idea why she was receiving so many hugs and despite her own mourning she was there for us and helped us through. In honour of Maple's my wife and I decided we wanted to do our part in the world of animal rescue.

Advanced Critique Encouraged (ACE) - Part 1
A little while ago I had mentioned that I was going to start writing up journals that featured pieces (in my case, photographs) that are labeled with 'Advanced Critique Encouraged'. In light of this new 'Critique' feature that will be available only to subscribers, I decided to start these journals today.
